I was walking down Deansgate at about 9pm after having something to eat with one of my friends in town.
I am ashamed to say I usually walk past big issue sellers but when he shouted out ‘get your big issue here’ I felt a ache telling me I should buy one for a change. It was a cold evening and he looked extremely tired and I knew that he would be done for the day when he got rid of the ones he had left. I decided to ask him if he minded if I could buy all of the ones he had left so that his day would finish much earlier than usual. His surprise at such a simple gesture of kindness summed up to me what ilovemygen is all about and the happiness it gave him not only made his day but made mine also.
